sweeping front entrance of the estate reminds me of a southern mansion and the main ballroom entrance has a circular drive, elegant twenty-foot columns and french doors that lead into an ivory marbled lobby with

This is the perfect place for weddings with 300 guests or more...featuring a custom size dance floor,
twenty-foot coffered ceilings with crystal chandeliers, mahogany doors,
floor to ceiling windows, broadcast capabilities, screens for instant
video, and beautifully appointed Bridal Suites.
The Grand Lobby and South Terrace, with gazebo, bar, fountains, and garden are a perfect backdrop for pre-dinner cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a romantic ceremony, photos at the gazebo, or dessert around a fire pit.

In the late 1770’s, alongside a dusty road in Concord Township, there stood a tavern called the Concordville Inn. Inside the faint glow of candles and the warmth of an open hearth were welcome sights to travelers as they made their long journey between Philadelphia and Baltimore.
Legend has it that this Inn provided refuge to some of the more famous travelers of the day – from Revolutionary War heroes to statesmen as prominent as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin.
Today, Ye Old Concordville Inn remains one of the most popular and historic dining sites in Delaware County.

Tucked away at the end of a long tree-lined drive, historic Appleford is the quintessential Main Line country estate.
The inside is handsome (like the groom!) with a gorgeous spiral staircase (perfect for the bride's entrance, as pictured above)...and the gardens are simply stunning.
Originally part of a land grant from William Penn, the property is carefully maintained as an arboretum and bird sanctuary with blossoming trees and boxwood gardens, stone walls and streams and pond.
The setting is as serene and breathtaking in winter, with a shimmering veil of snow blanketing its grounds - as it is when decked out in fall's brilliance, or spring's first flowers or summer's sun-drenched greenery.
All this gorgeousness?
Appleford has it's own greenhouse and gardening staff who tend to the grounds, making sure every guest starts their visit with oooo's and ahhhhhs!
While most weddings are booked a good 12-16 months in advance, the staff at Appleford encourage you to call even if the wedding date you have in mind is much sooner than that.
You never know when a Saturday might be sitting around, twiddling it's thumb...just waiting for a bride and groom to snatch it up!
Fridays are also a popular option. And you'll get rave reviews when you hold your rehearsal dinner or bridal shower here.
Visitors are welcome to stroll the grounds daily until sunset free of charge, and guided tours are available by special arrangement. The house is available for rental year-round.
